A customer in Bexley contacted VAS Landscapes after seeing our van during another local job. They wanted a new block paving path in their rear garden to match the block paving already used for their patio and driveway.

Planning the garden path

The existing block paving had been installed a few years earlier by another contractor. After looking at the garden and agreeing the work, we marked out the required path size and width using marking paint. We measured from the fence line to keep the path parallel to the existing fence, with a curve at the end.

Installing the block paving

We excavated the marked area, then installed membrane and sub-base materials. The KL curved edging was laid on sand and cement, followed by the blocks along the inside and outside edges. The remaining block paving was laid on screeded sand to complete the path.

The finished result

The work was completed to the customer’s satisfaction, and they were very happy with the new garden path. They have since asked us about installing a new lawn next spring.

After: completed block paving path

Before: the original garden
